Wiksten Tank in Voile

This was made a few weeks ago.. I really wanted to sew something simple and quick for myself, and had a half finished dress stuffed in a box which I thought would be perfect for this pattern. My sister said the dress looked like a nightie which put me off it, and I was glad to put the fabric to better use. It’s Shattered Sun in Anna Maria Horner’s Innocent Crush voile.

I really enjoyed putting the pattern pieces together, oddly enough. I think its the wonder of printing a few bits of paper which can be joined up to make a proper sewing pattern! Matching the pocket was a bit tricky, especially as the voile has a tendency to shift, but I don’t think it turned out too bad.

I love this little vintage hanger I bought! Please ignore the dodgy stitching on the neckline 🙂

  1. its beautiful. I am sure you will wear this piece all summer long. I haven’t sewed for years but this looks like something I would wear and enjoy.
