Happy Street KAL

This is my yarn for the KAL over at The Uncommon Thread Ravelry board. The pattern is going to be Happy Street by Veera Vallimaki.

The yarns from left to right: Lioness Arts Exquisite fingering in Thoughts, The Uncommon Thread Heavenly fingering in Grit and Posh fingering in Envy.

I’m slightly overextending myself this month as I’m also taking part in Mad May – a month of Madelinetosh knitting with prizes along the way. I don’t expect to win anything but I do find it motivates me if I’m knitting with others. The weather is too nice to stay indoors and sew at the moment, so I can sit outside with my knitting while its sunny!

Viola goodies

I managed to catch a couple of skeins in one of the two final Viola updates, which as usual was fast and furious. I’ve really enjoyed taking part in the updates this year and seeing all of her beautiful colourways despite all the cartjacking!

A beautifully wrapped parcel, it arrived only 4 days after the update!

I managed to grab two skeins of merino fingering, in Heather and Tidal Pool.

The two new beauties.

I have been lucky to have discovered Viola early enough to have a good amount stashed, but I hope she won’t be gone for long! In the meantime, I will be on the lookout for perfect patterns for my precious Viola (suggestions welcome!).
